From Classroom to Care: Bridging Education and Practice – Preparing Nursing Students for Real-World Care brings together academic and practice leaders to explore evidence-informed strategies for developing practice-ready nurses. Grounded in the NCSBN Clinical Judgment Model, this conference highlights academic, clinical, and transition-to-practice approaches that strengthen clinical judgment. Sessions also address faculty development, fostering shared accountability between educators and employer partners in preparing nurses for contemporary practice.

Presentation sessions plus a panel of experts provide 5 hours of professional development content:

·      Part One: "From Classroom to Care: Bringing Clinical Judgment to Life in Nursing Education".  Sessions include three presentations plus a moderated panel discussion with experts from academic and healthcare nurse residency programs and perspectives from graduate nurses. The focus of these sessions provides theoretical and practical information relating to the NCSBN Clinical Judgment Model, tips for meeting the requirements for accreditation, and unique approaches used in successful nurse residency transitioning programs. The academic-practice gap is thoroughly explored bringing leaders from both sectors to the table.

"Part Two: "Building Educator Capacity: An Evidence-Informed Toolkit for Nurse Faculty Development" addresses nurse educator professional development for both academic and practice settings presenting research evidence and the development of a nurse educator development toolkit.
